Expand Your USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 Laptop Connect your essential workstation peripherals to your laptop with a single, compact USB-C hub. The Plugable 7-in-1 USB-C Hub (USBC-7IN1) is the perfect companion to connect an external 4K HDMI monitor, USB peripherals like a mouse, keyboard and flash drive, SD or microSD cards, and provide power to the laptop all through a single USB-C connection back to your laptop. Optimized through extensive testing and years of product development, the multiport adapter was designed by Plugable to fix the problems most commonly mentioned by real customers. Got a stupid macbook that only has two usb-c slots, one of which is needed for the power?Yeahhhh.. its a pain. This solves this in a fairly obvious and straight forward way.It has a usb-c slot that supports power supplies - some of these usb-extension dongles won't always support power supply pass through, which means in those cases you still need power supply into one slot and the dongle into the last remaining slot, which is less ideal. This can be plugged into the power lead slot and then pass it through, so your second remaining slot can be used as regular (or also expanded with a usb-c extension dongle, as I do)It has HDMI, power-supply usb-c and three old fashioned USB slots. It offers SD/micro-SD cards, which for me is a bit redundant and would be better off as additional usb-c slots, but there you go.Because it supports power, hdmi and old USB, this is a decent solution for the first (power supply) usb-c slot, and then I use a regular usb-c to multiple usb-c dongle for the second slot. Madness that I need to do these things, but it does the job.
