Works great when it works, but something is wrong because I come in after the unit has been charging all night, and the charging indicator reads like it's full, but once off the charger cradle it will not power up. Put it back on the cradle and it's red like it's charging. Something is not right.The NADAMOO Wireless Barcode Scanner does as it says, plug it in and get an HID device on USB, that acts as a keyboard for input, so selecting an input field or file to collect scans is all that is needed. The barcode scanner works well over distance, I've only tested in side of the house over a distance of about 30 feet (10 m), but it was not with line-of-site and there were intervening walls, but the scan completed.One important note, the barcode scanner does require a wake-up scan to make sure it is awake and ready to start scanning, so if the scanner has been idle, it will need this before taking a scan.The barcode scanner documentation includes scan codes to configure the barcode scanner, which is a bonus, if specific options are required or certain settings needed.The base for the scanner includes holes to hang the unit, but the cable only allows routing through one side, the top.I like this barcode scanner and have bought another one since I need two in different places for different purposes.For my needs the ability to store scanned barcodes for later operations is not a requirement, so this unit works well and the price is very good for a wireless 1D and 2D capable reader that also handles off of screen scans.The good: This gun scans fast compared to most. It's wireless and the base setup is pretty fast. The base charges the gun and there's an included booklet with programming codes to customize behavior.The bad: The programming codes don't actually do what they say. The gun turns off after shorter periods of time than the programming codes say. As a specific example, if you program it for 8 hour timer on shutdown, the gun shuts off after 5 or 6 hours. Contacted the manufacturer, they provided the same information in the booklet. No real answer as to why the programming doesn't actually do what it says it does.The ugly: Ours suddenly stopped working mid-use one day. Just died completely. Never powered on again. Tried contacting the seller here on Amazon and have received nothing but radio silence. If you need a product that woks and you can depend on, you (and we) should get something else. Fortunately we try to always have a fallback plan and we've been using our secondary equipment ever since this failed. We'll have to replace this with something more dependable. This lasted less than 4 months before we found ourselves suddenly with failed equipmentUPDATE: Nadamoo sent me a new scanner to try. It is much smaller--which means I have to make sure it's still there at the end of every class. It works very well in the glare--it is a BUR3076. Still super portable. Upgraded the star count above . The portability in my library is awesome. The reason for the mediocre review is that this scanner hates glare! I have to either shield all the barcodes with my hand or shut off all my lights to get it to scan them. If your barcodes are not covered with a shiny laminate this scanner works great.I use this barcode scanner for work an overall it is a good product, great design, feels good in the hands, reads barcodes well. My only gripe in my opinion is it's a little slow for my liking and also it powers off a little to quickly i would rather have it power down when it gets put back on the base or at least power down after like 15 minutes or something like that. Overall good product just a little slow in my opinion but maybe thats just me.This is a good scanner if you are scanning typical barcodes. It has a hard time scanning barcodes that are compressed that 1d or some higher end 2d scanners have no trouble with. The battery life is great and it has not lost connection to the base. Overall for the price it is a good valueIt was much smaller than expected and it does not read longer bar codes such as the vehicle vin bar code or the UPS bar codes. in fact the longer the bar code gets, the slower the read until it stops reading anything longer than 2 inches. set up was confusing too. pairing made 3 beeps every second not 1 beep every three second per manual. Great size if you're a smaller Asian lady. me na dooI use these in my warehouse and they work great. I have a few kk right by each other and I don’t have any connection issues.Scanner worked perfectly except for one small thing.bought it to scan barcodes on autos...the standard bar code would not scan.I think it was too long...on newer cars that have QR codes it worked great.Scanned everything else I tried but not the automobile bar codes.REALLY like the range on this scanner.Finally...There was a trouble free return protocolEasy to install and use. Picks up any and all bar codes/QR codes so when scanning an item with multiple codes in one location it can grab the wrong one but easy to get around that issue.difficile a utiliser marche pas bien avec code barre de numéro de série de voiture
