Usually never write a review but customer service took care of the issue when they technically could of said it wasn't their problem. So, Scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. The monitor itself is perfect. It's exactly what you're looking for. For the price, picture quality is gorgeous. I only use this for work, so if you're looking to use this for gaming my review won't help you.Now I will say! I would RECOMMEND that you buy a stand for this.7/11/2020 - Originally wrote the review on my cell phone which had all kinds of typos so I re-edited for improved comprehension. Not really understanding any negative reviews because this monitor is fantastic with some bearable quirks.I am comparing this to my older ASUS MB169B+ IPS (2016) that I have had for the last couple years.Attached images side by side Asus on the left, Lepow on the right. The Lepow is a bit smaller is has a metal alloy housing which in my opinion automatically makes it a bit more durable to hold up to the inevitable abuses of portability. The case/stand for it is magnetic which is fantastic. If you are familiar the ipad pro cases, you will be very please with this. Though I do question its overall durability…time will tell.My Asus has plastic housing and the pressure abuse that my backpack sometimes endures while traveling has cause light bleed in the upper right from the power source button. Both are 1080p with a matte screen and have a case for some level of screen protection. The Asus case is awkward, easily misshaped and you must rely on the Velcro to make it stay in place – I eventually purchased an anker tablet holder to replace the stand. Still use the case as extra protection but pull out the tablet holder to set it up.PRO’s of the Lepow- Plug and play with amazing resolution- Same 15.6 display with a smaller footprint. Always a plus for portability- Metal housing = improved durability- Comes with a screen protector and the kit to mount it, necessary cords, power adapter and a case.- On screen display! Yes! I can now adjust brightness/contrast, color temps. Huge plus over the Asus- Speakers on the left and right – a cool feature however not impressed with over all sound quality but it’s there if you wanted/needed to use them and the volume can be adjusted in the on-screen display menu.- Functions with the Ipad Pro (2020) at work when I need to mirror my display. The Asus doesn’t.CONS PRO’s of the Lepow - these are more bearable quirks than cons- If you do not have a full featured USB-C you must use the power cord for the monitor to work.- If you do not have USB-C you need to use the HDMI and must use the power cord for it to work- Getting through the on-screen display menu is hinky but not unbearable- Can’t get a USB 3.0 adapter or USB 3.0 to Type C cord to work. For example, it functions fantastic with my laptop but if I wanted to use it on my PC I haven’t figured it out yet. However, it does function with my pc at work. but I must use a work around for the power source by plugging it into a power brick which aesthetically is meh….- Which brings me to the power cord – it’s too short!!! I mean seriously give a functional length so if you must use it from a desk it can reach an outlet.- If you wanted to rotate the screen the functionality is there but if you needed to use both plugs ie the one for the screen and the power, be prepared to have an assistant to hold the monitor because it will not work.EDIT 7/11/2020: Actually found the usb-c power works on either side of the monitor so you can indeed rotate the screen but the cord sticking out at the top 1.5" is still aesthetically meh...Bottom line is if I had the funds I'd definitely buy another one these for a matching pair! It’s a full functioning portable monitor at about half the price of others.7/11/2020 - Full disclosure - Wish I had done more home work because I wouldn't have chosen the "full featured" USB-C version. Then it would have been easier to switch from portability with a laptop to using as an extra monitor with my PC that doesn't have more modern plug-ins such as HDMI and USB-C.Suggestions to Lepow:- Provide cords with right angle plugins. That would shorten the overall profile from sticking out 1.5” to a ½” (half) which would be a huge improvement.- Seriously - give a longer power cord!I have had this monitor for a total of 6 months and it already is not functioning properly. Started with monitor flickering and now screen does not turn on at all despite being plugged in and turned on.I'm a proposal consultant and I often have to work at client sites. I also travel and have to work in hotels a lot. Since much of my work involves editing or reviewing multiple copies of documents, it is a big time saver to have two monitors. In one, I can keep the master copy of the document, while in the other I can review a marked up copy to see what changes I want to apply to the master. Or perhaps I just want to keep my email visible on one monitor while I'm working furiously on the other. In any case, getting a second monitor at a client site is not always possible--and when they do have a monitor, it may be so old that it doesn't have a connector that will work with my computer. I was a bit skeptical of how good a portable monitor like this could be, but after using it for a few months, I'm a huge fan of it. For one thing, it is the same size as my laptop screen and because it sits on a table or desk right next to my laptop, it is much easier to move the cursor between screens than when I am using my laptop screen and an external monitor that sits on a stand 3-4 inches above the level of the desk. (You can see this in the picture I provide. I scratched through a company logo - that is what the blue blotches are.)The Lepow monitor is easy to connect. If you have a computer with a fully-featured USB3 port, that is all it takes to supply both power and picture. It works that way on my Dell XPS15. I have a second computer, a Lenovo, where the USB3 port isn't fully featured, so I also have to connect the Lepow monitor to the HDMI port on my computer. But either way, connection is simple, and once plugged in, the monitor just comes on. The brightness defaults to pretty dim, but it can be easily turned up.The resolution is 1920x1080, so if your laptop (like my Lenovo) has that resolution, moving items from one screen to the other is seamless. My Dell computer has 4K resolution, however, so items take some time to resize when moving to the lower resolution Lepow screen. This is not a problem with the Lepow--it works just like this with any external monitor when the resolution is lower.Frankly, the only issue I have had with this monitor was learning how to properly fold the cover to use it as a stand. It is a bit non-intuitive, since you are trying to make a tent, but because the cover is magnetized, it actually works much better than that and gives you more freedom to adjust the angle once you learn how to do it the right way. This monitor has certainly paid for itself several times over in the amount of hassle it has saved me. From a strictly mercenary standpoint, I supposed I could just stick with one monitor, take longer to do the same job, and charge my clients more--but that's no way to run a business. The monitor and cover are very thing, so I have no problem slipping them into my laptop bag right next to my computer. I've carried them around for months this way with no damage. I searched through lots of portable external monitors before picking this one, and I'm convinced I made the right choice.I needed a travel monitor to do multi screen projects while on the road. All I need to carry is a usb c cord with the monitor and its cover /stand, which slips into my laptop bag w the computer. Convenient and light.I used it with a video switcher and multiple cameras. Image very clear, very easy to use. Easy to carry from my office to the place where I had to film. But...after few times using it, and transport it, the screen seems to be broken (strakes covers half of the screen, like a broken glass). My conclusion is that it's a very good product but you need to be more carefull than I with it.The service was excellent. They refund me rapidly. I thank them for that.
